  • Installing a Screen Protector on the HTC Freestyle

These days, smart phones such as the HTC Freestyle are everywhere, and it is no surprise; you can do almost anything you set your mind to with them. However, phones still remain fragile as they're still pieces of technology so it's necessary to take certain precautionary measures to keep them protected. This article will describe the correct procedure for properly installing a screen protector on the HTC Freestyle.

To begin, the first step would be to wipe any remaining dust and murk off the LCD screen of the HTC Freestyle. Prior to installing the screen protector, there should not be any leftover dust, smudges, grime, or dirt on the screen. If some unwanted dirt were there after installing the protector, it'll clearly be visible stuck underneath the screen film. Getting rid of this also makes it unlikely that you'll have to replace the screen protector later on. If you do this precautionary cleaning, you'll guarantee the screen protector can be applied without any future issues.

The next step in screen protector installation is to cut the protector until it fits the size of the screen. This can manually be completed with a pair of scissors but using a ruler and box knife is highly recommended to get a precise cut. If you cut the protector in a ragged style, it will still work, but it will not look nearly as nice on your HTC Freestyle.

Once the screen is cleaned and the film is fit nicely in place, the next step would be to peel the top layer away from the supporting protector. This must be done carefully to avoid ripping the protector and you can easily avoid having to get a replacement later on for your HTC Freestyle. Once you have about an inch or so of the protector peeled away from its supporting film, then you can line up the top part of the screen protector with the top part of your HTC Freestyle's touch screen.

Finally, stick the protector directly onto the screen of your smart phone. You might want to use a plastic scrapper tool or a credit card to push the screen protector from bottom to top; this will guarantee that the air bubbles underneath the screen protector won't show up after installation. Air bubbles can be very annoying to deal with, because once they are present, it then becomes impossible to get rid of them without removing the screen protector and installing a new one.

It's highly recommended that you read these procedures carefully to ensure the screen protector is put on nicely on the HTC Freestyle. Along the way, it cannot hurt to look into some of the many HTC Freestyle accessories available such as a HTC Freestyle charger, battery, and of course a HTC Freestyle screen protector.

  • Social Networking with the HTC Freestyle

Smart phones like the HTC Freestyle and social networking go hand in hand for the simple reason that they allow you to obtain permanent connections to the internet wherever you go, which is great because it means that you can keep up to date with your friends lives and social circle. If you're constantly connected to the internet, it's easy to be updated as long as your phone has enough battery and signal strength to stay online.

Perhaps the single most popular social networking app for smart phones such as the HTC Freestyle is Facebook for Android. As the name implies, the app is essentially a Facebook front end for the Android platform, which is just another way of saying that it is a way of connecting to Facebook easily on the phone. Through Facebook for Android, it is very easy to keep up links and connections with pen pals and share any information you might have about yourself or about them.

The Facebook app for Android is already installed with a range of devices, and if it is not already present on your HTC Freestyle, it's very easy to install by yourself. The Facebook application provides the necessary features to satisfy users, and the programmers take the right steps in keeping the application updated. The app itself is essentially a flow of information directly from your Facebook News Feed. This allows you to share status updates from the main screen, check out information added to your News Feed, browse the walls and user information of friends, family, and strangers, upload embarrassing pictures, and share and check out links posted to the site. It's pretty much a mobile version of Facebook.

TwitDroid is another popular social networking application for the HTC Freestyle. TwitDroid is the standard application on Android for access to the super popular Twitter network. All of the well known features of Twitter are supported on the app, as are functionalities attuned to the specific capabilities of Android compatible smart phones such as the HTC Freestyle.

As you can see, the HTC Freestyle is a popular choice for smart phones and social connectivity due to the wide range of apps you can purchase or download for free for the phone thanks to Android. Regardless of which apps you select to facilitate your social networking, it is worth keeping in mind the wide range of HTC Freestyle accessories that are available for purchase to help enhance your social productivity. One example of such an accessory is a HTC Freestyle case, while another is a HTC Freestyle battery.
